Terms of Service
Effective date: August 1, 2026
Welcome to TeachToLevel. These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are an agreement between you and Judge Real Ventures, LLC d/b/a TeachToLevel ("TeachToLevel," "we," "us," or "our"). They govern your use of the TeachToLevel website at teachtolevel.com, our AI learning coach, and everything else we offer (together, the "Service").
Please read these Terms carefully. We wrote them to be as clear as possible, because many of our users are students.
1. Acceptance of These Terms
By creating an account, clicking "I agree," or using the Service, you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
If you are between 13 and 17 years old, you may create a free account, but a parent or guardian must handle any purchase for you (see Section 7). By letting you use the Service, your parent or guardian is also agreeing to these Terms on your behalf where the law requires it.
2. Eligibility and Age Requirements
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. No exceptions.
- When you sign up as a student, we ask for your birth month and year. We use them to confirm you are 13 or older and to know whether you are a minor (under 18). Because we do not ask for the exact day, we treat you as not yet 13 until your birth month has fully passed.
- If you are under 13, you cannot create an account. You will be directed to a waiting list page where your parent or guardian can sign up on your behalf. We never create accounts for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Nothing entered on a blocked signup, including the birth month and year, is saved.
- If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 13, we will close it and delete its data.
- Do not enter a false birth month or year. Lying about your age is a violation of these Terms and can result in your account being closed.
3. Account Types
TeachToLevel has three kinds of accounts. Each comes with its own responsibilities.
Students
A student account is for learning. Students join courses using an invite link or join code from their educator, take the free baseline mastery assessment, and work with the learning coach. Students aged 13 to 17 can hold a free account but cannot make purchases. Students 18 and older can purchase access for themselves.
Parents and Guardians
A parent or guardian account exists to support a student. Parents and guardians can link to a student's account (using the student's email address), purchase access for that student, and view the student's progress. When you create a parent or guardian account, you confirm that you are an adult and that you are the parent or legal guardian of any student you link to.
Educators
An educator account is for teaching. Educators create courses, upload course materials, set learning objectives, and invite their students. Educators have additional responsibilities described in Section 8.
You agree to give us accurate information when you sign up and to keep it up to date.
4. Your Account and Security
- You are responsible for keeping your password secret and for everything that happens under your account.
- Do not share your account or let anyone else log in as you.
- Tell us right away at support@teachtolevel.com if you think someone has accessed your account without permission.
- We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms (see Section 14).
5. Purchases, Payment, and the Access Period
What we sell
- Single Course: $99, one-time payment. Unlocks unlimited learning coach access for one course.
- All Access: $199, one-time payment. Unlocks unlimited learning coach access for all courses you are enrolled in.
What is always free
- The baseline mastery assessment is always free, including retakes.
- Each course enrollment includes a limited number of free learning coach turns before purchase is required.
- Creating an account is free.
How payment works
- All payments are one-time payments processed by Stripe on Stripe-hosted checkout pages. We do not see or store your full card number.
- There are no subscriptions, no recurring billing, and no auto-renewal. We will never charge you again automatically. If you want more access after your access period ends, you choose to buy it again.
- Prices are in U.S. dollars and may change for future purchases. A price change never affects access you have already bought.
The 10-month access period
Paid access lasts 10 months from the purchase date. When the 10 months end, paid access expires on its own. Nothing renews and nothing is charged. Your account, your assessment results, and your progress records stay in place; only the paid learning coach access ends.
Who owns the access
Purchased access (an "entitlement") always belongs to the student, even when a parent or guardian paid for it. Entitlements are personal and cannot be transferred, resold, or shared.
6. Refund Policy
- You may request a full refund within 14 days of purchase if the student has used fewer than 10 paid learning coach turns since the purchase.
- After 14 days, or after 10 or more paid turns, purchases are non-refundable, except where the law requires otherwise.
- Refunds go back to the original payment method through Stripe.
- To request a refund, email support@teachtolevel.com from the account that made the purchase, with the receipt or purchase date.
- If a purchase was made by mistake (for example, a duplicate charge), contact us and we will make it right.
Nothing in this policy limits refund rights you have under applicable law.
7. Minors and Parent or Guardian Purchases
If a student is under 18, the student cannot purchase. Here is how a purchase for a minor works:
- A parent or guardian creates their own account (or logs in to an existing one).
- The parent or guardian links to the student by entering the student's email address.
- The student must accept the link from their own account. The link stays pending until the student accepts it. Accepting the link is also where the student gives consent, including explicit consent that their mastery data is visible to their instructor.
- The parent or guardian completes checkout from their own account.
The entitlement belongs to the student. The parent or guardian is the purchaser and is responsible for the payment.
By linking to a student and purchasing for them, a parent or guardian:
- Confirms they are the student's parent or legal guardian;
- Consents to the minor's use of the Service under these Terms; and
- Understands they will see the student's progress and mastery data, but never the student's coaching conversations.
One parent or guardian account can link to more than one student.
8. Educator Responsibilities
Educators hold a position of trust. If you use TeachToLevel as an educator, you agree to the following:
- You control who joins your course. Courses are joined only through the invite link or join code you distribute. Share it only with your own students, through your own channels (your email, your LMS). There is no public course directory, and the platform never sends codes to students for you.
- You are responsible for your course content. Only upload materials you have the right to use (see Section 11).
- Use student data only for teaching. You may see your students' mastery data so you can teach them better. Do not use it for any other purpose, and do not share it outside your legitimate educational role.
- Follow your institution's rules. You are responsible for making sure your use of TeachToLevel complies with your school's or institution's policies.
- Educator accounts require a valid signup code. Do not share educator signup codes with people who are not educators.
9. Acceptable Use
Use the Service honestly and lawfully. You agree not to:
- Break any law or violate anyone's rights;
- Enter a false birth month or year or pretend to be someone you are not;
- Share, sell, or transfer your account or your paid access;
- Use someone else's invite link or join code without being a member of that class;
- Try to bypass the free turn limit, the paywall, or any other access control;
- Probe, scan, or attack the Service, or interfere with other users;
- Scrape the Service or use bots or automated tools to access it;
- Use the Service to harass, threaten, or harm anyone;
- Submit content that is illegal, hateful, or abusive;
- Attempt to extract, reverse engineer, or misuse the AI systems behind the learning coach; or
- Use the Service to build a competing product.
10. Academic Integrity
The learning coach is built to help you actually learn. It guides you toward understanding without handing over answers. That design is the point of the product, and we ask you to respect it.
You agree:
- Not to use the Service to cheat on assignments, tests, or any graded work;
- Not to attempt to manipulate the learning coach into doing your work for you; and
- Not to use the Service in any way that violates your school's or institution's honor code or academic integrity policies.
Your institution's rules are your responsibility. TeachToLevel is not liable for academic consequences that result from how you choose to use the Service.
11. Intellectual Property
Our content
The Service, including its software, design, text, branding, and everything we created, belongs to Judge Real Ventures, LLC d/b/a TeachToLevel or its licensors. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service under these Terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our content except as the Service is designed to allow.
Educator course materials
Educators keep ownership of the course materials they upload (learning objectives, course outlines, documents, and other materials). By uploading materials, an educator grants TeachToLevel a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, process, analyze, and display those materials as needed to operate the course and power its features, including generating course concepts and running the learning coach for enrolled students. This license lasts as long as the materials remain on the Service, plus any period needed for backups and legal compliance. Educators promise that they own their uploaded materials or have the rights needed to grant this license.
Your inputs
You keep ownership of the questions and messages you send to the learning coach. You give us permission to process them to provide the Service to you.
Student data and AI training
Student data is never used to train AI models. Period.
12. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer
The learning coach is powered by artificial intelligence. AI is useful, but it is not perfect. Please understand:
- Responses from the learning coach may contain errors, gaps, or outdated information. Check important facts against your course materials and your educator.
- The learning coach is a study aid. It is not a substitute for your educator, your course materials, or your own work.
- Nothing the learning coach says is professional advice of any kind, including legal, medical, financial, or mental health advice.
- Mastery scores and assessments are estimates meant to guide learning. They are not official grades and do not guarantee any academic outcome.
13. Privacy
Your privacy matters to us, especially because many of our users are teenagers. How we collect, use, and protect your information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms.
A few highlights:
- Every account holder is 13 or older. We may email account holders about their account and the Service. Any email that is not transactional includes an unsubscribe option.
- No personal data is ever stored for anyone under 13.
- Student data is never used to train AI models.
- Parents and guardians see linked students' progress and mastery data, never their coaching conversations.
14. Termination
You can leave any time. You may stop using the Service or ask us to close your account by emailing support@teachtolevel.com.
We can suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms, harm other users, break the law, or put the Service at risk. Where reasonable, we will warn you first, but we may act immediately for serious violations.
If your account is closed:
- Your license to use the Service ends;
- We handle your data as described in the Privacy Policy;
- If we close your account because you violated these Terms, no refund is owed for any unused paid access; and
- If you close your account voluntarily during a paid period, the Refund Policy in Section 6 applies.
Sections that by their nature should survive (including Sections 11, 12, 15, 16, and 17) survive termination.
15. Disclaimers
We work hard to make the Service reliable and useful, but we provide it "as is" and "as available."
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- We make no warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
- We do not promise the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that the learning coach's responses will be accurate or complete.
- We do not guarantee any academic result, grade, test score, or learning outcome.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty disclaimers, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
16. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- Judge Real Ventures, LLC d/b/a TeachToLevel and its officers, employees, and agents are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or lost educational opportunities, arising from your use of the Service.
- Our total liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you (or your parent or guardian, for your access) paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or (b) $100.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain liability limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
17. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to its conflict of laws rules.
If you have a problem, please contact us first at support@teachtolevel.com. Most issues can be solved with a conversation, and we want to solve yours.
Any dispute that we cannot resolve informally will be brought exclusively in the state and federal courts of Georgia, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts. Each party waives any right to a jury trial to the extent permitted by law.
18. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we will post the updated Terms on the Service and update the effective date at the top. For significant changes, we will give notice inside the Service before the change takes effect. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree with a change, stop using the Service and, if you wish, close your account.
19. General Terms
- Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service.
- Severability. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
- No waiver. If we do not enforce a part of these Terms right away, we are not giving up the right to enforce it later.
- Assignment. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
