Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 1, 2026
TeachToLevel (teachtolevel.com) is operated by Judge Real Ventures, LLC d/b/a TeachToLevel ("TeachToLevel," "we," "us," or "our"). TeachToLevel is an AI learning coach platform for educators and students.
This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who can see it, and the choices and rights you have. We wrote it to be readable by a student or a busy parent. If anything is unclear, email us at support@teachtolevel.com.
This policy applies to everyone who uses TeachToLevel: students, parents and guardians, and educators. It also applies to visitors who join our waiting list.
The Short Version
- We never use student data to train AI models. Not ours, not anyone's. See the section below.
- We never sell your personal information. We also never "share" it for advertising as the CPRA defines that term. There are no ads and no ad tracking on TeachToLevel.
- We collect only what we need to run the platform: your account, your courses, your mastery progress, and your conversations with the learning coach.
- Payments are handled by Stripe. We never store your card number.
- No one under 13 can create an account, and no personal data is ever stored for anyone under 13.
- A linked parent or guardian can see their student's progress and mastery data, but never the student's coaching conversations.
- You can ask us to delete your data at any time at support@teachtolevel.com.
Student Data Is Never Used to Train AI Models
We do not use student data to train AI models. Ever.
Your coaching conversations, assessment results, mastery scores, and course materials are used for one purpose: to run your learning coach and track your progress. They are never used to train, fine-tune, or improve any AI model, whether ours or a third party's.
The AI provider that powers the learning coach processes coaching messages only to generate a response to you. That provider does not train its models on this data either.
Who Uses TeachToLevel
There are three account roles:
- Student. Takes assessments, works with the learning coach, and builds mastery in enrolled courses. Students must be 13 or older.
- Parent or Guardian. Links to a student's account, purchases access for a student under 18, and can view that student's progress.
- Educator. Creates courses, uploads course materials, and sees mastery data for the students enrolled in their courses.
Information We Collect
We collect information you give us directly. We do not buy data about you, and we do not track you across other websites.
Account information. Name, email address, password, and your role (Student, Parent or Guardian, or Educator). Students also provide a birth month and year at signup, which we store. We use the birth month and year to confirm the student is 13 or older and, for students aged 13 to 17, to apply the parent purchase rules described below.
Course and learning data.
- Course enrollment records (which courses you have joined).
- Baseline assessment results and a mastery score for each concept in a course, on a scale of 0 to 100.
- Your coaching conversation messages with the AI learning coach.
Educator content. Course details, learning objectives, course outlines, and course materials that educators upload.
Payment records. Records of purchases, such as what was bought, when, and by whom. Payments are processed by Stripe. We never store card numbers. Stripe handles your card details under its own privacy policy.
Referral requests. If a student asks us to invite their educator, we collect the educator's email address and the course name the student submits.
Parent-student links. Records connecting a parent or guardian account to a student account, including the student email the parent entered, the link status, and the consent choices made when the link was accepted.
Waiting list information. If a visitor under 13 is routed to our waiting list, a parent or guardian signs up on the student's behalf. The waiting list form collects only the parent's or guardian's contact information. It does not collect anything from or about the child.
Basic technical information. Like most websites, our servers and service providers keep standard logs (such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested) for security and to keep the service running. We do not use this information for advertising or profiling.
How We Use Your Information
We use personal information to:
- Run the learning coach and track mastery. Your messages, assessment results, and mastery scores power your coaching experience and your progress tracking.
- Show educators their students' progress. Educators see mastery data for students enrolled in their courses. Students give explicit consent to this when they enroll or accept a parent link.
- Show parents and guardians their student's progress. A linked parent or guardian can see their student's courses, baseline results, mastery scores, and progress over time. A parent or guardian never sees the student's coaching conversation transcripts.
- Process payments and deliver what was purchased.
- Send email to account holders. Every account holder is 13 or older. We send transactional email (account confirmation, a confirmation that a request you submitted was received, and payment receipts), and we may also email account holders about their account and the service. Any email that is not transactional includes an unsubscribe option.
- Send an optional progress report to parents or guardians. We plan to offer parents and guardians a recurring progress report email. It will be strictly opt-in, and every message will include a one-click unsubscribe.
- Keep the service secure and fix problems.
- Meet legal obligations, such as tax and accounting rules for payment records.
We do not use your information for advertising. We do not build advertising profiles. And, to repeat the most important point: we never use student data to train AI models.
What We Never Do
- We never sell personal information.
- We never "share" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, as the CPRA defines sharing.
- We never use student data to train AI models.
- We never show ads or allow ad tracking on the platform.
- We never email anyone under 13. There are no under-13 accounts, so there are no under-13 email addresses on file.
- We never store card numbers.
- We never knowingly collect information from a child under 13. No personal data is stored for anyone under 13.
Who Can See What
| Information | Student | Their educator | Their parent or guardian |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mastery scores and assessment results | Yes | Yes, for students enrolled in their courses, with the student's explicit consent | Yes, once the link is accepted |
| Coaching conversation transcripts | Yes | No | No, never |
| Course enrollment | Yes | Yes, for their own courses | Yes, for their linked student |
| Payment records | Their own | No | Their own purchases |
TeachToLevel staff access personal information only when needed to operate, support, or secure the service, under access controls described below.
Service Providers
We use a small number of companies to run TeachToLevel. They process data only on our instructions and only to provide their service to us. They may not use your data for their own purposes.
- Cloud database and authentication provider. Stores account data, learning data, and coaching conversations, and handles secure login.
- AI model provider. Processes coaching conversation messages to generate the learning coach's responses. This provider does not train its AI models on this data.
- Stripe. Processes payments. Card details go directly to Stripe; we never store card numbers. Stripe's privacy policy is at stripe.com/privacy.
- Form and automation provider. Powers our contact and waiting list forms.
- Web hosting provider. Serves the website and application.
We do not allow any service provider to sell your personal information or use it for advertising.
Children Under 13
TeachToLevel does not allow accounts for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.
Here is how we keep it that way:
- Student signup requires a birth month and year. If they show the visitor is under 13, account creation is blocked before any account exists. No under-13 account or data collection ever occurs, and nothing entered on the blocked form, including the birth month and year, is saved. Because we collect only the month and year, we treat a student as under 13 until their birth month has fully passed.
- Blocked visitors are routed to a waiting list page where a parent or guardian can sign up on the student's behalf. That form collects only the parent's or guardian's contact information, nothing from or about the child.
If we ever discover that an account was created by, or personal information was collected from, a child under 13, we will delete the account and the information promptly. If you believe this has happened, contact us at support@teachtolevel.com.
Students Aged 13 to 17
Students aged 13 to 17 can create their own free accounts, take the free baseline assessment, and use their free coaching turns. What a minor cannot do is purchase. Purchases for a student under 18 are made by a parent or guardian from the parent's or guardian's own account.
Before a parent or guardian can purchase for a minor:
- The parent or guardian links to the student's account using the student's email address.
- The link stays pending until the student accepts it from inside their own account.
- At link acceptance, consent is recorded: the parent or guardian consents to the minor's use of the platform, and the student gives explicit consent that their mastery data is visible to their instructor.
A linked parent or guardian sees the student's progress and mastery data. They never see the student's coaching conversations.
We do not sell or share the personal information of any user, and that includes minors. Because no sale or sharing occurs, we have no mechanism that could sell or share a minor's information.
Your California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (together, the "CCPA/CPRA"), gives you specific rights. We honor these rights for all users, not only Californians.
Your rights
- Right to know. You can ask us what personal information we have collected about you, where it came from, why we use it, and who we disclose it to.
- Right to delete. You can ask us to delete your personal information. We will delete it unless a legal exception applies (for example, payment records we must keep for tax law).
- Right to correct. You can ask us to fix inaccurate personal information.
- Right to opt out of sale or sharing. You have this right, but there is nothing to opt out of: we do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. For that reason we do not post a "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link.
- Right to limit use of sensitive personal information. The only sensitive personal information we collect is your login credentials. We use them only to log you in and secure your account, which the CPRA treats as a permitted purpose, so there is no additional use to limit.
- Right to non-discrimination. We will never treat you worse for exercising any of these rights. Same service, same price.
How to exercise your rights
Email support@teachtolevel.com with your request. You can also manage some information directly in your account settings.
- We will confirm we received your request within 10 business days.
- We will respond to requests to know, delete, or correct within 45 calendar days. If we need more time, we may extend once by another 45 days and will tell you why.
- We will verify your identity before acting, usually by confirming control of the email address on the account.
- You may use an authorized agent to make a request. We will ask for proof that you gave the agent permission.
- A parent or guardian may make a request on behalf of their linked minor student, including a request to delete the student's account and personal information. The student's own confirmation is not required.
Categories of personal information we collect
The CPRA groups personal information into categories. Here is how TeachToLevel maps to them. We collect each category directly from you, use it for the purposes described in this policy, and disclose it only to the service providers listed above. We sell none of it and share none of it.

How Long We Keep Your Data (Retention)
- Paid access runs for 10 months from the purchase date. When access expires, your account and your data remain; you simply cannot use paid coaching until a new purchase.
- Account data (account info, enrollment, mastery data, coaching conversations) is retained while your account is active, so your progress is there when you return.
- The 7-year limit. We keep personal information for no more than 7 years, unless you ask us to delete it sooner or a legal exception requires us to keep it longer. This limit also covers payment records, waiting list contact information, and referral request records.
- Deletion on request. Email support@teachtolevel.com and we will delete your account and personal information, subject to legal exceptions such as payment records we must keep for tax and accounting law.
Security
We work to protect your information with measures that include:
- Encryption in transit. Connections to TeachToLevel use HTTPS.
- Access controls. Staff and system access to personal information is limited to what is needed to operate and support the service. Secret keys are kept server-side only.
- Row-level security. Our database enforces rules at the row level, so each user can read only the records that belong to them. A student sees only their own data; an educator sees only their own courses and enrolled students; a parent sees only their linked students' progress.
- Payments are handled by Stripe on Stripe's systems; card numbers never touch ours.
No system is perfectly secure, but we design for least access: each person and each service can reach only what it needs.
Cookies
TeachToLevel uses cookies only to keep you signed in and keep your session secure. These are session and authentication cookies that the service needs to function.
We do not use third-party advertising cookies, analytics trackers that follow you across other sites, or any ad tech. Because we use only essential cookies, there is no cookie consent banner to click through and nothing to opt out of.
If you block cookies in your browser, you will not be able to stay signed in.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the product grows. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top and post the new version at teachtolevel.com. If a change meaningfully reduces your rights or changes how we handle student data, we will give notice in the app, and we may also notify account holders by email, before the change takes effect.
The commitments in this policy that will not change direction: student data is never used to train AI models, and personal information is never sold.
